I’ve had my eye on Milk and Mode for a long time now. To be honest, I love everything that Carol Han does on her stylish, chic blog, especially because it’s not just all food all the time. Now don’t get me wrong. I love blogs that focus on just food, as you can see from almost every blog I’ve featured in the past. But the things I love second most to food are fashion and beauty. And it just so happens that the blog Milk and Mode is all those things, in one convenient place.

I mean let’s face it…the only thing better than a woman who can cook, is a woman who can cook and look fashionable while doing it, right?

Carol always seems to be just ahead of the curve on what’s hot for the season in both food and fashion. For example, while I’ve seen a lot of recipes including spring peas, fava beans and spring onions lately, it’s no surprise that Carol is more into ingredients like spring garlic and ramps, because they’re hot right now but not what everyone else is doing. She combines these seasonal items with braised rabbit meat that is pulled from the bone in her recipe for Pappardelle with Rabbit, Ramps and Spring Garlic

In this recipe, the richness of the braised rabbit meat is offset by the pungent flavors of the spring garlic and ramps, which are basically wild leeks. If you have the day off, I’d make this dish and then eat it while browsing for the latest spring fashions on Milk and Mode. Once you see what I mean, I think Carol might just be your new favorite too.
