Fine Cooking is gearing up for our second year at a most delicious event: SF Chefs 2013 in beautiful San Francisco! We’re very proud to once again be a media sponsor for the festival, celebrating the food, wine, and spirits of northern California. Set at San Francisco’s legendary Union Square from July 28 through August 4, there will be tastings, demos, classes, speakers, and parties galore, all featuring the chefs, winemakers, mixologists, farmers, and culinary superstars of the region.
Fine Cooking is thrilled to bring along some of our own superstars: Camper English and San Francisco bar stars Michael Lazar and Duggan McDonnell will teach us how to make premium cocktail ingredients (think homemade berry-infused gin, tonic water, and five-spice simple syrup) before Saturday’s Grand Tasting; Pete Evans, the host of our upcoming PBS television series, A Moveable Feast with Fine Cooking, will do a super-fresh demo on the Grand Tasting main stage on Saturday afternoon; and on Sunday, Thy Tran will show us how to make flatbreads from around the world.
In addition, Fine Cooking will have tasty treats at our table during each Grand Tasting event, including recipes from Lee Ann Whippen, Ruth Couisneau, Judith Fertig, and Lynne Curry.
