As the classic carol goes, it’s the most wonderful time of the year—and it has (almost) nothing to do with gifts. It’s all about the cookies and showstopper desserts. Join the editors of Fine Cooking, along with special guest, contributing editor and baker extraordinaire, Abby Dodge, for a holiday baking Tweetup Wednesday, December 14 from 3:30 – 4:30 EST.
If you’re wondering how Abby gets her Classic Shortbread so tender and moist or her chocolate-dipped variation so wonderfully glossy, just ask. They’ll be plenty more of Abby’s cookies to pass around as well (remember last year’s Dessert in a Cookie story? We’re still lovin’ those crêpes Suzette-inspired Orange Butter Cookies with Grand Marnier Glaze—if you haven’t made them yet, they’re a must-bake.)
Then. . .
If all that tweeting compels a bake-a-thon at your house this weekend, take a photo and enter your big batch holiday cookies in our annual Holiday Cookie Contest for a chance to win one of three sweet prize packs.
As always, we’ll follow up our Twitter party by giving away a few goodies: Fine Cooking‘s 2011 DVD archive, Fine Cooking Cookies, Junior’s Dessert Cookbook, and the special Holiday Baking issue, all available in the Fine Cooking Store (now that makes shopping easy!). So use the #FCdish hashtag and be sure to follow @finecooking so we can contact you if your tweet nabs a prize.
Update: We just got word from our friends at Eggland’s Best that they’ll sponsor a giveaway during our Tweetup. In addition to the Fine Cooking items listed above, three lucky random Tweeters will receive a goodie bag from Eggland’s including:
- Eggland’s Best Eco Bag (a reusable shopping bag)
