Le Whif? No Thanks, I Think I’ll Eat Instead

Why eat chocolate when you can inhale it? I can think of several reasons, but that’s just me. If you’ve tried Le Whif’s inhaler, or you’re tempted to, tell me why.

If you caught The Today Show this morning, you saw Matt and Ann take their first hits of Le Whif, the world’s first inhalable “food.” They called it the latest culinary trend and I waited for the April Fools’ disclosure, but it never came. Le Whif’s an actual product that’s been around for a year, but apparently I missed it when Oprah Winfrey declared it a life-changer, which usually catapults products into household-name status.

Naturally, Le Whif is available in several chocolate flavors (marketing geniuses!) and their new coffee flavor launched a couple of weeks ago. International demand is apparently so high the manufacturer is having trouble keeping up. I predict a bacon flavor next, but I could be wrong.

I believe food should be savored, never inhaled—literally or figuratively. Since chocolate and coffee are sacred, the savoring should be done even more deliberately.
