Pie crusts made with crushed cookies or graham crackers are an easy alternative to pastry, but it can be tricky to press those buttery crumbs into a pie plate in an even layer.

While most cookie crust recipes call for melted butter, we found our reader’s alternative saves a step and produces a crust that’s pliable and easy to work with.
