How to choose:

The best examples taste strongly of apples. For drinking straight, you may want to spurge on a pricey reserve, but since some nuance gets lost when heated and mixed with other ingredients, you don’t have to buy the best for cooking.

How to store:

Calvados will keep almost indefintely in a cool, dark, place.
