What is it?

Honey mustard is a prepared, mustard-based condiment commonly used as a spread, dip, or dressing.

As its name sugguests, honey mustard is mainly comprised of mustard and honey in varying proportions, as well as other spices and flavorings. It varies in flavor from mild and sweet to zesty and hot, and in consistency from a thin and dressing-like to stiff and sticky.

How to choose:

A plethora of honey mustards are available in most markets, you should sample a few to determine which one you prefer.

How to store:

Prepared mustard can be stored, unopened, in a cool place for a couple years. Once it’s been opened, honey mustard should be refrigerated.
