What is it?

An alcoholic beverage made by fermenting a mash of grains such as barley, corn, or rye. There are many popular kinds of whisky—each with its own flavor and character. Bourbon, Irish Whiskey, Scotch, and Rye are all different varieties made unique by a series of factors like: the type of grain and water used, the process by which the mash is fermented and processed, and the length and method of aging.
