comments (5) July 14th, 2009 in BlogsWe're thrilled with all the creative entries in the Create Your Own Ice Cream Contest. Narrowing it down to ten finalists was tough, and left us weak with cravings. Here are the ten that we felt best took David Lebovitz's basic formula and turned it into delicious and creative treats. Create Your Own Ice Cream Contest
This summer, we're challenging you to create your own ice cream flavor, using David Lebovitz's simple method and our online recipe builder. Taking the challenge is easy:
Step One: Login or create a profile
Step Two: Go to our Create Your Own Recipe game to build your creation. You can also enter a flavor that you create using David's method but your own ideas for flavors.
Step Three: Post photos and a description of your creation following the instructions on the entry form.
Step Four: Browse the gallery and get inspired! You can comment on other entries, and give your favorite photos a thumbs-up rating.
Grand Prize: The user posting the most creative dish will win a Cuisinart Flavor Duo two-bowl ice cream maker.

So what's the next challenge? I think you should do another "Cook the Issue" challenge. That really challenged me to try different recipes and techniques that I probably would not have otherwise tried.
Thanks for all the fun cooking - Posted: 9:51 am on July 30th
I'll take one of each please! :) Posted: 5:01 pm on July 14th
