GloriaDC writes: I purchased a bottle of Lyle's Golden syrup from my grocer here in Michigan, but I didn't think to check the shelf date when I bought it. I've only had it a few months, but it says it expired 2 YEARS ago! I haven't opened it yet, but I don't have the receipt to return it to the store. Can I use it? Posted: 2:02 pm on June 14th
