Granted my photo is just awful, but the recipe easy as it was, was not great. If you didn't see the noodle clinging to the bowl, you would never know that I put noodles in the dish. I don't know what I was expecting and the best part was the sautéed beef and the broccoli without the noodles.
I chose to blanch and cool the broccoli before finishing as the recipe states and it came out with a little crispness and not too browned as I have often ended up with.
The peanut sauce was way too thick and I thinned it considerably and ended up not using the most of the sauce.
I like buckwheat noodles that I buy at an Asian store and I have a particular brand that I use, but was out of so I purchased another brand at our local store, not to my liking at all and maybe contributed some to my negative evaluation.
I think that if I am tempted to make anything like beef and broccoli with noodles, I might consider using a simple sesame noodle recipe and use my regular brand or other Asian style noodle or go to a more traditional recipe and serve with rice.
