Why yes, I did score some artichokes on sale this week, thanks to one of our Chicago Italian Markets. So I have been cooking my way through the entire Artichokes article in Issue 104. Good stuff! That said, that last time I made a steamed artichoke, I did not like it and this time my reaction was the same. So, no fault to this recipe, but steamed artichokes are just not my thing. So, if you are looking at the artichoke article, my recommendation is to make the fritatta-- that was excellent! For this recipe, I did save the excess vinaigrette and will use it on a salad-- it was quite tasty in its own right.
