Well my poor tattered issue 104 is getting a break at last. For Mother's Day I made the rib recipe in issue #5. I got a new Char-broil Smoker Roaster Grill and wanted to start with ribs so I deviated from the recipe as I smoked and grilled the ribs. The infrared cooking is faster so for just one rack of ribs I smoked for 2 hours with only a rub on the ribs, wrapped the ribs in heavy duty foil and smoked another 1 1/2 hours, let sit for 1 hour in a closed oven, and then grilled with the sauce just enough to get a little crust.
The sauce wast tasty enough but since I had sauce left from barbecued chicken I added it to the recipe and added a nice little boost.
A first success for the new appliance and tender lucious ribs.
