Cook the Issue 2010: Garden Party

This was the weirdest cocktail I have ever had-- more like a salad than a drink, with its spicy, herbal flavors.  I found it tolerable, but my husband was quite taken with it-- he loved that it was not too sweet, and found the flavors and spiciness intriguing.  One note on the recipe-- the recipe calls for making a syrup by mixing the agave nectar with hot water-- we found this unnecessary, as our agave nectar was not very viscous, so it had no problem mixing when added straight.  An interesting drink-- I suspect my husband will be making it again.

I do like usig agave nectar in place of simple syrup - so much easier!
