Cook the Issue 2010: Rustic Fig and Raspberry Mini Crostatas

The second I turned the page and saw these crostatas, I had to make them.  I just loved the rustic look of the dessert, and colors of the fruit.  I had no idea figs and raspberries pair together so nicely.  This wasn't too sweet, and the pastry was light and buttery.  I made them for our Concert in the Park culinary challenge of the week, which was Turkish Cuisine.  Although more Italian-inspired, the crostatas do contain honey and cinnamon, common in Turkish cooking.
