The Boss Hogg: Drink of the Day from Tales of the Cocktail

Without a doubt, the hot new spirit at Tales is moonshine. And this drink from one of my favorite New Orleans restaurants, Cochon, pairs it with another southern staple, fresh watermelon.

The Boss Hogg

2 oz. moonshine
1/2 oz. Square One cucumber vodka
3 oz. watermelon puree
1 oz. homemade limeade
Sprite

Stir the first four ingredients in an ice-filled highball glass and top with Sprite.

Pielove writes: That sounds delicious-- after two, I would just wander around whooping "Them Duke Boys crossed the county line!!"* Yee-HAAW! What is with the cucumber vodka-- that sounds like something those fast-talkin' Northerners would drink.
