This recipe marks the first time I have ever successfully made pie crust. It usually falls apart on me, so I was thrilled that I was actually able to roll this out and work with it. Only one person detected the heat from the pepper jelly (my Mom, and she was not happy about it!). Everyone else thought these were delicious. The kids especially loved them. The frying made the pie crust taste kind of like a doughnut. I don't know that I would make these again--it was a lot of work--but it was a fun recipe to make and I am glad that I tried it.
