Dates Wrapped in Bacon with Green Olive Sauce

These bacon-wrapped dates each have a Marcona almond in the middle and are baked and served with a spicy green olive sauce. The sweet chewy date, crunchy almond, smoky bacon, and spicy olive sauce provide such wonderful flavors and textures. I served these at our Concert in the Park after pre-baking them at home and then warming them back up briefly on the grill. I could tell right away this was one of your yummy looking creations. Looks great, will put this on my "to do" list. Have had dates with goat cheese filling wrapped in bacon, but this is a nice new twist. Even though I have not been posting, have been checking out all the creations and it is great to see some of the original "cook the issue" folks.
