After making David Leite's Pine Nut and Orange Cookies, featured in Fine Cooking, I went out and bought his cookbook, The New Portuguese Table. We just enjoyed several of his recipes at our Portuguese themed Concert in the Park, including these magnificent Baked Custard Tarts. The tart shells are made with Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry and the creamy custard is flavored with vanilla and cinnamon. They're not too hard to make and are perfect served warm or at room temperature. Keep these in mind for your holiday parties.
