I don't know why I didn't see the chicken gravy beyond the fried chicken in issue 106 so I made it for dinner last night with my homemade chicken stock. I was very pleased and my husband was thrilled!
I don't care to cover my chicken serving with gravy and I should have taken a picture of his plate, but I was really happy with the gravy, the thyme and the touch of lemon was nice and I went a step further and grated a little zest into the gravy. I know that everyone has their secrets for fantastic gravy, especially in the south.
I'll be making this gravy again.
