Cook the Issue 2010: Arugula Salad with Kohlrabi and Carrots

I was paging through some of the earlier issues in the challenge when I noticed this recipe-- and it caught my eye because I had both arugula and a big kohlrabi in my CSA box.  liamsaunt and I must be on the same wavelength-- and I'm glad of it, because, inspired by her good review and the necessity of using up this kohlrabi, I made this salad.  As she said, this is an excellent salad, very light and refreshing-- perfect, as I served it alongside fried chicken.  I especially like the contrast of the crisp vegetables and the soft raisins and pine nuts.
