Announcing the Fine Cooking Holidays iPad App

Video Length: 1:47
Produced by: Sarah Breckenridge; videography by Gary Junken; edited by Cari Delahanty

I'm thrilled to announce the launch of our first iPad app: Fine Cooking Holidays. It's a clever app that delivers delicious ways to celebrate the holidays, from Thanksgiving through New Year's. The app is packed with inspired recipes and menus, gorgeous photos, how-to videos, slide shows, tips and techniques. You'll learn how to buy and roast the perfect Thanksgiving turkey, how to make an outstanding rib roast for guests, how to set an elegant buffet table, and how to bake and decorate a show-stopping cake (the Coconut-Cream Meringue Cake on the virtual cover is one of my favorites!). We've also included plenty of cocktails to keep your holiday festive. You'll find pretty much everything you need to pull off a crowd-pleasing party and an amazing holiday.

Watch the video for a sneak peek at what our iPad app can do. Fine Cooking Holidays is available at the iTunes store now. I hope you'll check it out and let me know what you think.

Tmvoegeli writes: I agree, an iPhone app would be great. While your site seems to recognize the fact I'm on a movile device, I can't even log into my account on the site. And one of the biggest reasons I finally got an account was to access it from my iPhone. Posted: 10:08 am on January 24th

I am planning my winter party and could use some inspiration!!!
I cooked for 32 adults at a sit down dinner at my home using fine cooking.
Everyone raved about the meal!

I am addicted to fine cooking, baking, and gardening:)

Drew1house writes: I purchased it... It looks good so far... Is finecooking or fine woodworking available through Zineo? I subscribe to National Geographic, The Economist and MacWorld and a few others through Zineo... Love it... Posted: 10:14 am on November 3rd

CorrieS writes: I LOVE magazines. Some might say, actually most of my family members HAVE said, I'm addicted. The problem is, I have strong "green" tendencies. Thankfully, I think being able to get all magazine subscriptions on an iPad is just around the corner. As soon as all my favorites are available, I'll be able to reduce my paper consumption by switching to this system, not to mention eliminating the need of devoting an entire room to my magazine collection.

About [Un]Buckled

As the editor of Fine Cooking, I live a food-centric life. And I don’t mean just from 9 to 5. The bigger slice of my waking hours is spent talking about food, shopping for food, cooking in and eating out. Food is what I do; could I get any luckier?

The plan for this blog is two-fold: to help me remember what I’ve eaten (because one meal too quickly fades into the next and out of memory) and to share some of the food fun. I’ll write about diner discoveries and my ice cream habit, about my stove-side mistakes (full disclosure: I’m no culinary school graduate) and my occasional successes, about meals that change my view of the world and books that take me away from it. In short, I’ll take a bite and pass my plate. There’s plenty to share.
