Cook the Issue 2010: The Manhattan

I had the martini, but he had the Manhattan!  Someone got some very tasty rye whiskey for Christmas, so we decided to try out the side-by-side cocktails.  This recipe is the same formula as our tried-and-tested Manhattan and is really good, especially after a long day of travel.  Cheers!

If you look closely, you can also see my hand-etched cocktail glasses.  The Manhattan glass has the word "RYE" and a flying pig; the Martini glass has "GIN" and a snake.  I was going to do a whole series, but somehow these two seem to be all we need.
