Cook the Issue 2010 - Lemon Glazed Banana Scones with Crystalized Ginger

Boy I had a skeptic in the house when I was making these.  There were lots of questions and queries as to why would I mix this or add that...but he loved them!  My toughest critic was very happy.  I did add cinnamon only because I like the flavour with the banana and because I knew it would win me a bit of brownie points too.  My mix was a bit runny at first and I had to add quite a bit more flour and used whole wheat flour for almost 1/2 the recipe.

kitchengoddess writes: They were not a flaky as they should've been...probably from all the extra handling with adding the extra flour. I don't know if I just measured wrong or what. The flavour combination was very unique and lovely. Posted: 9:27 pm on January 4th
