Cook the Issue 2010: Steamed Pork Buns-- 250th Post!!

These came out great, even though they look like heck.  My daughter and I watched the instructional video together and she was really excited to help with this.  There is one spot in the video where the chef says that this is a great recipe for kids and how kids today love to cook-- and my daughter just started smiling and giggling like Ms. Lo was talking right to her.  And she is right, this is a great kid project-- like playing with Play-Dough.  

Anyway, these came out really tasty-- the pork filling is sweet and succulent, and it tastes great with the sweet, tender dough.  They were perfect with soup too.  I should have kneaded the dough longer and I should have chilled the filling longer, but for a first try, I call it a success.  I had a hard time shaping them, but the video really helped.  Also, I think I will be getting more practice, my husband is talking about a dim sum party and my little helper is all ready to go again.  

Hey, 250!!!
