Samoas Scones

Samoas Scones

Girl Scout cookie season is arguably one of the most wonderful times of the year. While there are countless recipes out there for imitations of the cookies themselves, there's really nothing like those boxes of packaged cookies that turn up in offices everywhere for a short time every year. The problem? It's really difficult to resist them until afternoon (and they're usually gone by then). Despite my love for homemade Pop-Tarts (basically glorified handpies), I can't justify eating a cookie in the morning, even if it is homemade. However, Nicole Weston, author of the wildly popular blog Baking Bites, has created a solution to my morning cookie neuroses with her absolutely decadent-looking Samoas Scones. A baked good like this fits the bill for morning, elevenses (my favorite), noon and evening.
