Fine Cooking's Croque Madame (Dec/Jan 2011), with béchamel sauce enhanced by the addition of brandy, Worcestershire sauce and fresh thyme, was too tempting to pass up for an impromptu Sunday morning brunch.

Recipe Used: Slightly adapted from Fine Cooking's Croque-Madame Sandwiches
