This could be our easiest challenge yet. All you have to do to participate in our Soup Week Challenge is make some soup and share it with us. We want to see what you’ve got simmering away in your pot. To enter, upload a photo and description to our Community Gallery (please use “Soup Week” in the title of your post, so it stands out).
If you’ve got your own personal blog, simply send us a link to your soup post via Twitter or Facebook, or send an email with the link to fcblogs@taunton.com. We’ll announce your entry in our Community Gallery and follow up with a badge so your followers know you’re a Soup Week contender.
Shortly after noon on Friday, March 4, 2011, the Fine Cooking editors will compile a list of their favorite entries based on adherence to the theme and creativity. I’ll post the five finalists and a poll so everyone can vote for his or her favorite through the weekend. One vote per IP address, please. The poll will close Monday, March 7, 2011, at approximately 9:00 am EST. We’ll announce the official Soup Week Challenge Grand Prize winner that afternoon.
Grand Prize:
One lucky winner will receive a prize package worth approximately $362, featuring the rock star of all soup pots: Emile Henry’s round, 7qt. Dutch Oven/Soup Pot, Fine Cooking’s 2010 DVD Archive, Simply Great Breads by Dan Leader, and Fine Cooking’s special issue Soups & Sandwiches.
Runners Up:
Four runners up will receive a prize package worth approximately $132, featuring Fine Cooking’s 2010 DVD Archive, Simply Great Breads by Dan Leader, and Fine Cooking’s special issue Soups & Sandwiches.
We encourage you to step out of your comfort food comfort zone and try a soup you haven’t made before. We’re looking to be inspired, so bring your Soup A-game!
