Join the Fine Cooking editors Tuesday, May 24 at 3:30 EST for a summer kickoff Tweetup where you can grill us about the June/July issue, get the secrets behind Momofuku’s outrageous strawberry layer cake, and check out our picks for the summer’s best wheat beers.

It may not be summer just yet, but we’ve been in a summer state of mind since our latest issue hit newsstands and mailboxes last week. Why are we looking forward to summer cooking so much? Two words: Strawberry Shortcake. OK, now more than two words: weeknight chicken recipes you can get excited about, a pad thai cooking class with Corinne Trang, a celebration of all things watermelon, and rich and flavorful salmon grilled on a plank.

So, fix yourself a Barbary Swizzle (little umbrella required), grab the June/July issue, log on to Twitter, and share your favorite summer cooking with us. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #FCDish so we see your tweets.

Update: Did I mention giveaways? Of course, there will be giveaways! I’ve got three signed copies of Fred Thompson’s Barbecue Nation, 10 Grill It! bookazines, and 10 copies of Cooking in Season up for grabs. We’ll pick tweets at random and follow up via direct message.
