Welcome to the Grill-lympics challenge! Check the bottom of post each week for updates.

Ladies and gentlemen, start your grills. In this summer challenge we want to see your grill marks. In past challenges, you’ve shared your cookies, salads, pizzas, and soup recipes with us. Now, we want to see how creative you can be when food meets the flame.

Starting Monday, July 18, we’re celebrating the awesomeness that is grilling with weekly themed challenges and prizes that’ll help you get your grill on.

Need tips & tricks from grilling masters? Check out the Guide to Grilling for hundreds of recipes and grilling how-to.

How to Participate
All you have to do to participate in our Grill-lymipcs is fire up your grills (see theme schedule) and share your dish with us. To enter, upload a photo and description to our Community Gallery (please use “Grill-lympics” in the title of your post, so it stands out).

If you’ve got your own personal blog, simply send us a link to your post via Twitter or Facebook, or send an email with the link to fcblogs@taunton.com. We’ll announce your entry in our Community Gallery and follow up with a badge so your followers know you’re a Grill-lympics contender.

raitken_fcweb writes: @Ziad: We saw it, and it's a finalist. Thanks for participating. . .and don't forget to vote!

@CastIron: If there are flames involved, go on ahead and share it with us. We love good BBQ, too.

And, thanks to all the FC fans who have shared their grilling with us so far. Keep grilling, folks! Posted: 3:43 pm on August 2nd

Cast_IronMan writes: Can I use my Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker for this competition? It's technically barbecue and not grilling, but I will be cooking with charcoal flames. Posted: 11:34 am on August 1st

Ziad writes: Hi Robin,

I posted my Grill-lympics recipe in the Community Recipes area about an hour ago. I hope it will be considered.

Thank,
Ziad Posted: 12:07 am on August 1st

raitken_fcweb writes: @Ziad: No, you don’t need to submit a side dish, too. In fact, if you’ve got a grilled side, you’ll want to save it for Week Four when the theme is Wild Card Grilling (that’s everything and anything not featured in the previous weeks. Stuff like veggies, avocados, pizzas, bacon, and even fruit and cakes).

@salsachick: Absolutely. All our readers are important to us, wherever they live. The problem is that we cannot possibly know the rules and regulations different countries around the world apply to contests and sweepstakes. For example, some countries require that the rules be published in that country’s native language. So while we’d like to include everyone, it’s just not possible. We’re bummed about it, too.

Ziad writes: Do we need to submit a side dish too? Posted: 4:29 pm on July 25th

All you need to do to participate is grill something scrumptious (burgers, steak, chicken, etc. according to the week’s theme) and upload your photo and a description to our Community Gallery, or post a link to an entry on your blog on our Twitter or Facebook page. Each Monday, starting July 25, Fine Cooking editors will pick three finalists from the previous week's entries.
