Panko-crusted, Parm-dusted fried avocados.
Drain these guys on paper towels so they dont get soggy with grease.

Who doesn't love avocados? Who doesn't love fries? So why wouldn't they be delicious together?

Joanne of the fun and informative blog Fifteen Spatulas decided to try making these creamy, crunchy little guys after seeing them pop up again and again online. Her recipe coats slices of cool, fresh avocado in crisp Panko breadcrumbs. Once they're fried, she showers them with Parmigiano Reggiano. Yum.

I can see it now...You're gathered with a bunch of friends, drinking a cold beverage and snacking on all the usual game-day fare. Then a plate of avocado fries comes out and everyone stops. It's as if the TV isn't even in the room. Football? What's a football? One bite and the entire room is filled with, "mmm, mmmmm!"

But seriously. Fifteen Spatulas is not just a food blog. Joanne has tailored the site to fit cooks of all kinds, even those who may only have one or two spatulas in their kitchens. All of her recipes are clearly written and the steps are always explained in full.

Even if you've never thought of making avocado fries before, give these a try. I bet they'd be delicious dipped in any one of those five favorite dips I told you about on Monday! Whether you have them alone or with something to dunk, they're guaranteed to be a touchdown on your table.
