Total retail value of the prize is approximately $1077.

TAXES: Except where prohibited, all federal, state, provincial, local or other tax liabilities, including but not limited to luxury, sales, use, income, VAT, GST, and PST tax, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner. In the event of a Canadian winner, Sponsor will deduct any applicable withholding taxes imposed by the U.S. and applicable state governments from value of prize award and the prize award value will be adjusted accordingly.

Turns out it's a small world... although I've never even heard of Fine Cooking before today, I see the address is in Newtown, CT... the town I live in! :) I have had 2 "substitute" Kitchen Aid mixers, can't afford the real McCoy, after paying the taxes on the home my dad left me here in town, not much is left. Still, it is my greatest pleasure in life to cook gourmet meals and serve to any/everyone who will eat. Appetizers thru Desserts, all are made easier with a good mixer set, and you are offering not only, good, but THE BEST!

Curves writes: In 2004 I thought my life was over when my husband and I split up. We put our house on the market and I got to work clearing out my house of everything that wouldn’t fit in a small one-bedroom apartment, including my older model Kitchen Aid mixer with all the attachments. I replaced it with a smaller mixer that would fit in my cupboard and wasn’t too heavy to lift out when I needed it. Then an old friend and I “found” each other and before I knew it I was engaged to be married and my new life began. We ran away to San Francisco to get married – less fuss for all concerned, and no need for expensive wedding gifts. Now my life is full and I have a large kitchen where I can indulge my re-kindled love of everything kitcheny, including baking. My small mixer is ok but I yearn for my old Kitchen Aid. I was given a 4 quart Kitchenaid mixer by my in-laws when my husband and I got married in 1980. We lived in England for 10 years and I insisted on taking it and running it off of a power converter. I've always said I wish I had an odometer on my mixer. I have used it nearly everyday through the years. Gosh, love the john boos cart.
(with all the lovely baking equipment on it would even be better =) lol). Wishful thinking =)

Another thing that might make a wonderful addition to your kitchen is a pegboard. I have one in my condo and most of my baking utensils are on hung on it. Maximizes the space if you love to bake and don't have much room in the kitchen.
