Whether you're refrigerating fresh fish or freezing steaks, vacuum packing helps the food stay in top condition longer. Keeping food from coming in contact with air means no freezer burn, no oxidation, and slower deterioration. Unlike most vacuum sealers, the rechargeable Caso hand-held vacuum sealer takes up little room in a kitchen cabinet or on the counter. It looks like a small hair dryer and comes with quart- and gallon-size reusable zip-top bags. It also includes two stoppers to vacuum-seal open wine bottles.
