Fine Cooking's Slow Cooker Week

By Fine Cooking Editors, editor

February 21st, 2013

Update: Thanks to everyone who participated in our Slow Cooker Week giveaway. The giveaway is now closed and we are in the process of emailing the winners.
***
If you're anything like us, you work a slow-cooker meal into your winter dinner rotation about once a week, maybe more. So right about now, you could use some inspiration. That's why Fine Cooking contributor Dina Cheney's new book, Year-Round Slow Cooker: 100 Favorite Recipes for Every Season, has us pretty excited. So much so, that we're dedicating an entire week to celebrating the joy and ease that is slow-cooking.

From Sunday, February 24 through Saturday, March 2, we're all about sharing our new slow-cooker recipes (comforting Pot Roast, of course, as well as inspired recipes from around the globe, slow cooker breakfasts, and straight-up desserts), daily tips for slow-cooking success, a Facebook chat where Dina shares recipes and all her slow-cooking know-how, capped off by a Year Round Slow Cooker book and Hamilton Beach 6-quart programmable stovetop slow cooker giveaway for our Facebook fans.

Get a taste: Not everyone can win a copy of Year-Round Slow Cooker, but everyone CAN download a free excerpt of the book. You'll be inspired to put your slow cooker to work all year long!

Not on Facebook? That's OK. You can still enter to win a slow cooker prize pack by leaving a comment below. Of all the entries we receive, eight will be randomly selected for the book/slow-cooker giveaway. Good luck!

And one I could use on the stove? Get out. Awesome. The one I have is almost as old as I am and I don't think high power works. Plus its only 2.5 quarts anyway. Just too small. Good for game nite and chili con queso though. Hope I win but a big Congrats to whoever wins. BTW can I come over for dinner if I don't win? LOL. Posted: 11:40 pm on March 1st
