demerara sugar

Recipes using demerara sugar

demerara sugar

what is it?

An English version of turbinado sugar, to which it's very similar except for a slightly larger crystal size. Use it to add sparkle and crunch to the tops of cookies, pastry crusts, and other baked goods, or follow the English lead and use it to sweeten your coffee or tea.

don't have it?

Substitute turbinado sugar.

how to store:

Store airtight in a cool dry place as you would granulated sugar.
