sweetened condensed milk

sweetened condensed milk
what is it?

Sweetened condensed milk is made by boiling whole milk to evaporate about 60 percent of the water content. For this type of milk, about 40 percent sugar is added before it’s boiled, so it’s very thick and sweet. It is used extensively in cooking and baking in Latin America.
