buttermilk cake with spiced vanilla icing

I do not think I have ever made a cake like this that has both butter and oil in it. It is probably the reason behind the wonderful moistness, that and the squash. I have never really liked winter squash, but this cake was great. The texture was really light and the spices were not overdone. I will definitely make this again soon.
