We were very excited that the weather got above freezing here in Chicago, so it was the perfect day to try this refreshing tropical sorbet. I was out of blood oranges, so this is really a mixed citrus sorbet with tangerine, orange, and lemon juice. We like things zippy, so I added more lemon juice than the recipe called for. The mangoes we got were not super-ripe, but this sorbet has a good strong mango flavor, combined with a great citrus zing. Also the texture is smooth and creamy and it is not overly sweet. I noticed later that I had forgotten the citrus zest-- from reading others' comments, I think that actually made for a better texture-- bonus!
I could see having this with some prosecco poured over the top-- or ginger ale for the kiddie set. We will probably make this again and pack it into popsicle molds.
