Beef Picadillo
comments (1) February 3rd, 2009 in GalleryThis recipe really surprised me. I just would never have thought to put raisins and hard-cooked eggs in with ground beef, but it worked. The red wine and crushed tomatoes really pulled the ingredients together. I couldn't find Boston lettuce so I used romaine, which tasted good but didn't roll very well. My husband wants to try it with flour tortillas next time.
