Re:Lamb and Prune Stew

Made this for friends, used 3 lbs of lamb shoulder steaks with bones (trimmed the meat and cubed, left the bones in for the roasting process and then pulled the remaining meat off immediately after the roasting process was done). Great flavors and extremely tender meat, served with cous cous. And, I did make it a day ahead. This will be repeated, and looking forward the the leftovers for another meal.

I served these at a post Christmas open house, everyone loved them and was asking for the recipe. The leftovers reheated nicely, definite repeat recipe.

Re:Black Bean Soup with Sweet Potatoes

This was really easy to make, had good sweetness from the sweet potato, I used 1/2 t. of aniseed because I like the flavor. The next time I make it I plan to reduce the amount of stock to 6 or 6 1/2 cups, I would have like the soup to be a little thicker, but it did look just like the picture.
