I did not like this recipe because I found the vanilla flavor too strong. My son loved it because he said it reminded him of creamsicles - a vanilla-orange ice cream treat - he was right! The orange and vanilla combination made this cranberry sauce a little too strange for me...

I did not like the combined onion/sweet potato flavor. I also did not like the combined textures...soft potatoes and onions, crunchy pecans all in a creamy sauce.

Excellent recipe! I used Sherry vinegar instead of Champagne vinegar and used a Muscat wine and it turned out very well.

Re:Saffron Rice Pilaf with Red Pepper & Toasted Almonds

I've made this recipe many times and it is quite delicious and easy to make. Be careful while toasting the rice as it burns quickly. Also make sure not to put heat too high because the liquid evaporates fast and rice will burn.
