Re:Tandoori Chicken Legs

I used chicken leg quarters that I got at the farmer's market, which is quite lean so my chicken turned out a little dry, especially without the skin. The spice flavor was noticeable and a little strong for me but my husband liked it. I would probably make this again but will definitely lessen the cooking time to keep it from drying out and definitely moderate the spices a bit for my taste.

Re:Lentil, Tuna, and Roasted Pepper Salad

Delicious! The only thing I added to the lentils was some diced roasted zucchini that I had leftover. I doubled the recipe so we could have it for dinner. Served it with naan. My husband wanted to take some to work for lunch the next day but there was none left after dinner! Looks like next time I'll have to triple the recipe.

Re:Classic Pound Cake

I followed the recipe exactly. With the amount of butter and eggs in this recipe, I expected richer flavor. Instead it was only slightly better than the boxed pound cake mixes I can get at the grocery store. There are better recipes out there. I won't be making this again.

Re:Sugar-Roasted Peaches

This was delicious and easy to make. I made one batch with bacon and another with EVOO and both were just great. The bacon just added another layer of flavor. I used fresh thyme and turbinado sugar both times. The thyme flavor was very subtle and I like thyme so I plan on adding another sprig or two next time. I ate it as a side with breakfast. It's great by itself but I think I'll try it with ice cream next time too.

Re:Olive-Oil-Braised Leeks with Thyme

My husband came home from work while this was cooking in the oven and the aroma made him hungry. We had it with pan-seared tilapia and it was delicious. Such a simple recipe too. I didn't realize just how good leeks could be. This is the perfect recipe to bring out its flavor. We didn't have any leftovers this time so I'm definitely getting more leeks next time.
