Re:Five-Spice Millionaire’s Bacon

Such a good nibbler with drinks before a meal. I broke the slices into bite-sized pieces, piled them into a wide, shallow bowl with not a crumb left at night's end. I had trouble getting the bacon to crisp, but that may be due to being thick cut - I didn't want it burned from the sugar before it got crisp, so I lowered the temp, baked it a few minutes longer and that seemed to help. Bravo!

Re:Pan-Seared Chicken Thighs with Beer and Grainy Mustard Sauce

Similar to some of the other reviews, I thought the sauce was somewhat bitter, maybe because of the kind of beer I used (Dale's Pale Ale). So added a bit more maple syrup and a couple of splashes of heavy cream...helped mellow out the sauce.

Re:Ginger-Soy Dipping Sauce

I didn't make the original recipe, but one of the variations...the Southeast Asian sauce. It is delicious! Made it with 2 cloves of garlic which I grated on the microfine grater, along with a serrano chile. I also subbed out the carrots for scallions. Really good with fried shrimp.

Re:Corn Sauté with Ginger, Garlic & Fresh Cilantro

So tasty, I made it a meal the first night! The ginger adds a curious, but wonderful flavor. Who knew ginger would go so well with corn. This one's a keeper.

Re:Cafe Con Tres Leches Cake (Coffee Tres Leches Cake)

This is a wonderful version of tres leches cake. I made it at Christmas and all 13 guests raved. I cut back on the coffee and used Kahula for the rest of the measure. This will be my go-to recipe for the future.

Re:Cloverleaf Rolls

I made these last Thanksgiving, and they came out beautifully. I made the dough 3 days ahead of time, and they rose like they should have and had a light texture. Rolled into 3 pieces instead of 4, and they came out fine. I will definitely use this recipe again when I have a large gathering.
