Re:Sour Cream Pound Cake

Where are your editors? I know I should have questioned 300 degrees for a pound cake, but I have always trusted Fine Cooking to be a first class operation. This pound cake has 20 minutes left and still looks very wet and soupy. My Easter dessert is ruined! Please confirm this should really be baked at only 300 degrees or correct the mistake so another person doesn't wreck their dessert.

Re:Bavarian-Style Soft Pretzels

These were really fun to make and tasted delicious. I used baking soda, not lye, so the color was not as nice. But the texture and flavor were spot on! I posted them in my blog: http://mmapron.com/2012/09/25/philadelphia-soft-pretzels/

Re:Chicken Adobo with Rice

My family (well, 4/5ths of my family) absolutely loved it, and I featured it in my blog. I do think I will try it next time with boneless breasts (and hopefully not sacrifice tenderness). I am curious to try more Filipino dishes now.http://mmapron.com/2012/03/16/fine-cooking-chicken-adobo/

Re:Homemade Butter

This is one of those simple little extra touches that ups the wow factor at any table. It was fresh and delicious and couldn't be easier to make. Definitely heed the advice of using a towel over the mixer, though. I did not, and it was quite a mess. Blogged about it here: http://mmapron.com/2012/01/06/bagels-and-butter/

Re:German Chocolate Cake

I just made this yesterday and reviewed it for my blog. Definitely worth the time and effort! It was the best German Chocolate cake I ever had by a mile. http://mmapron.com/2011/11/07/fine-cooking-german-chocolate-cake/
