Re:Great Finds: Pretty in Pink

Pretty tasty sandwich, but have plenty of napkins nearby.

Re:Crispy Noodle Cakes with Hoisin Chicken

I really enjoyed this recipe--pretty darned easy to make, straightforward, and though there's a heap of sodium, best of all, it was delicious. I agree with a previous reviewer who was hesitant at first bite...but it was really tasty on the second...and successive bites! The crunchy noodle cakes added not only some novelty to the dish, but extra texture and a good neutral base for the rest of the dish.

Re:Quick Chicken Vindaloo

I really enjoyed this dish--not too fussy, but full of flavor and easy to prepare. I don't know this type of cuisine very well, or whether it is authentic, but I can say I REALLY enjoyed the flavors in this dish. I'll be making this again as it is something very out of the ordinary for me.

Re:Classic Chicken Pot Pie

Very good recipe. Took me a looooong time to make, but is very good comfort food. I used canned potatoes and frozen puff pastry to save time, but I was still last one into bed that night...however I did sleep quite contently.

Re:Seared Pork Medallions in Marsala-Mushroom Sauce

Yes, we enjoyed this recipe too--and also wanted more sauce, mmmm. Fairly easy and quick to make and good taste, especially for a weeknight.

Re:Garlicky Chicken Thighs in Red Pepper Sauce

Wow, this is good. Though your house will smell like garlic for almost a week, this dish is really tasty. I substituted a sweet potato (and a little extra garlic!) I had on hand and it worked well, too. I wanted more of that good home-cooked sauce, so I'll work on that next time I make this dish.

Re:Balsamic Glazed Brussels Sprouts with Pancetta

I thought this was quite a good recipe for Brussels sprouts. The balsamic vinegar is a bit strong, but the method of cooking the sprouts is wonderful, even crunchy, and not bitter like sprouts can sometimes be.

Re:Quick Chicken Chili

We were getting a hankering for chili and saw this recipe--and really enjoyed it. Although I was originally considering a "red" tomato-based chili with beef and beans, this soup reminded me of a Mexican Pozole, or a "white" soup. I used a little less cumin, but added 1 tsp cayenne pepper, and 1/4 tsp chili powder to turn up the heat; also added a 1/4 tsp. cinnamon and 1/2 tsp of powdered chocolate for a little sweetness of the holiday season. Tasty, warming, and easy to make--I'll make this again in the colder days of winter.

Re:Spicy Beef with Peanuts & Chiles

Ah, so good. Fairly simple to make and was really tasty. Served this over white rice and it was a hit. Lots of flavor and I learned an interesting way to add spice to a dish--blending/chopping peanuts and spices. Really enjoyed this quick dish.

Re:Orzo Salad with Grilled Broccolini and Sausage

Liked the recipe and was good hot or cold, with mild flavors. Added a bit of basil and some more black pepper to pump it up a bit. Grilled vegetables adds nice outdoors taste, too. Grilled some marinated chicken breasts with it and served it with the orzo salad for a good evening meal.
