Re:Beef & Black Bean Chili with Chipotle & Avocado

Very good chili ....loved the smokiness of the chipotle in adobe sauce and the subtle heat. Thanks for another great recipe

Re:Homemade Feta

This is an outstanding recipe.... it is fairly simple to make and definitely worth the time...lots of waiting....I have just put my second batch in brine. I really liked the first batch and thought that the flavor improved greatly at week 5 in the brine. This recipe has given me the confidence to try to make camembert cheese... here's hoping it is half as good as the feta

Re:Brown Butter Pumpkin Layer Cake

Another winner!!!.....the pumpkin seed/pecan topping......YUMMMMM! This cake isn't overly sweet which was really nice.....and the recipe was pretty straight forward to follow. My company also seemed to enjoy this one and asked for second helpings as well....

Re:Avocado Frozen Yogurt

fantastic ice cream, loved the color and mildly citrous flavor...be careful as the egg can curdle...I messed up the first batch and am very happy that I tried again.

Re:Lemon Icebox Cake

This dessert was AMAZING..... it looked exactly like the picture, set beautifully and tasted even better than I hoped...I agree that this is ranked as one of the best cakes I have made and my company also loved it (after they got over how many eggs total I used in the cake) It was a lot of work and worth every second!I have made so many recipes from Fine Cooking and have yet to have failure... everything from avocado ice cream to pot stickers... wonderful magazine.

Re:Avocado, Mango, and Pineapple Salad with Pistachios and Pickled Shallots

A fresh tasting salad.... really enjoyed the peppery of the arugula with the sweetness of the fruit.

Re:Chinese Pork and Shrimp Dumplings (Jiao Zi)

Making these was easier than I thought... the filling smelt wonderful.....I did the frying method and made up 10 to sample with my husband. After the first dumpling I tried, I was hmm they're ok but by the fifth dumpling....I was thinking about making another batch to "sample" some more. They are rather addictive. Will make these again...PS I did make up my sample a week after putting together the dumplings...they DO freeze very well.
