Re:Mini Baguettes

Made two regular sized baguettes and had trouble transferring them after their last rise....they deflated. Rose back a little and baked. Next time, I will just make one large loaf like the other reader did. Less trouble, probably no deflating. The baguettes are good but will definitely just make one loaf next time!

Re:Bucatini in a Spicy Tomato Sauce with Crisped Pancetta

Made this tonight and I thought I would speed up process and saut onion at the same time as pancetta. Don't do that! Almost burnt onions and had to pull out all the pieces of pancetta from the onions so that I could brown the pancetta all the way. Used yellow onion instead of red and used parmigiano reggiano because that's what I had on hand. Also used bucatini pasta which is excellent. I usually fix a recipe similar to this but it doesn't have pancetta. I prefer the recipe with the pancetta. Will definitely fix this from now on when I want a good pasta dinner.

Re:Romaine, Bacon & Tomato Salad with Croutons & Tarragon Vinaigrette

This was a really good salad. It would be something like you would get at a nice restaurant. It would be delicious with avocado added too. I am going to make the croutons again but add Penzeys fox point seasoning on the croutons along with garlic and pepper. Definitely a winner!

Re:French-Style Potato Salad

I have also made this recipe since 1998. It is a wonderful, different potato salad. I love the fact there is no mayo and love the addition of the white wine. Definitely recommend giving a try.
