Re:Knotted Dinner Rolls

As another reviewer said, I am somewhat "baking challenged" with yeast breads. Nevertheless, these turned out beautifully. They are pretty and very tasty and freeze well. Trust me, if I can do it, so can you! =)

Re:Smoky Tomato Soup

Easy and yummy soup that is a different take on the traditional tomato soup. It was great with grilled cheese sandwiches.

Re:Salt-Crusted Trout with Lemon-Dill Beurre Blanc

I set out to make this thinking it was going to be a huge pain (but hopefully worth it). It turned out not to be hard at all, and the end result is moist, flavorful fish that is really not at all salty. I used a trout I'd caught myself for the recipe, and it was a fantastic and special way to prepare my catch. I definitely will do this again in the future.

Re:Sear-Roasted Salmon Fillets with Lemon-Rosemary Butter Sauce

Very tasty, very easy, and looks very fancy when complete. A real winner! I never have to cook the salmon as long as the recipe says though, so watch your thermometer to avoid overcooking.

Re:Salmon Cake Sandwiches with Watercress and Miso Dressing

We actually don't eat these salmon cakes as sandwiches, but we pretty much follow everything else. This is a delicious recipe for salmon cakes, and it goes together pretty easily too. We really like the panko coating - yum!

Re:Spice-Crusted Roast Pork Tenderloin

Easy, delicious, and impressive. Again I used ground up Triscuits for bread crumbs. We make this frequently and serve it with baked sweet potatoes and sauteed spinach. Delicious!

Re:Herb & Parmigiano Crusted Tilapia with Quick Tomato Sauce

We make this all the time! It is an easy recipe and classy enough to serve to guests. I almost always use ground up triscuits for breadcrumbs (they are whole grain and easy to make) and this recipe really shines with them (no problems with adherence either). The sauce is simple but divine. We serve this with Parmesan couscous and steamed broccoli.

Re:Strawberries and Cream Semifreddo

We really enjoyed this, and it really goes together very quickly. The strawberry flavor was lovely with fresh local strawberries. Delicious!

Re:Hanger Steak with Spicy Miso Glaze

Followed the recipe exactly and this was delicious! We were delighted to have discovered hanger steak and will be eating it more often.

Re:Miso Mushroom Soup

Simple and easy miso soup recipe. Mihod, I'm afraid you are mistaken - the dashi was not left out of this recipe. The dashi in this case is made with the shiitake mushrooms, a common variant of dashi. Dashi needn't be made only with kelp or sardines. You can reference the Wikipedia article on dashi for more information. In any case, this is a nice recipe for miso soup - thanks!
