Re:Tuscan Braised Short Ribs

Fabulous recipe! As others did I sub'd smoked Paprika for regular, used beef stock in place of the water. Served it with mashed cauliflower and roasted brussel sprouts - yum!!

Re:Sweet Potato Gratin with Caramelized Onions

I liked this recipie and the overall taste - my only complaint is that my carmelized onions clumped together after cooking and it was very difficult to sprinkle them evently in the layers as directed. Some bites had no onion despite my best effors while other had too much.

Re:Goat Cheese, Pesto & Sun-Dried Tomato Terrine

Perfect make-ahead appetizer - I did this for two different holiday events and it worked great both times. The second time I got a little better at working the goat cheese with the cream - I ended up adding a little more than called for to get it smoother. Very tasty and impressive presentation!

Re:Slow-Roasted Prime Rib Recipe

I tried cooking Prime Rib for the first time and trusted Fine Cooking to steer me in the right direction - A+ yet again! The recipie was just perfect! The only change I made was slivering a few cloves of garlic and stuffing it under the fat on the top of my roast. My only issue is that the rosemary after the long and slow cooking time fell appart on top and I was left with pokey and sharp rosemary needles all over. I was able to brush most of them off but I guess that is a minor inconvenience considering how super yummy this turned out!

Re:Zesty Lemon Olives

This is a fantastic recipe - I used an italian green olive (Cerignolas I think) that were super fresh and tasty to begin with but this put them over the top! I served them in a swing top jar for a nice presentation and they were the first thing to run out at my party!

Re:Caramelized Onion & Thyme Tarts

This is a fantastic recipe! The dough is super easy to make and I am not a dough making person! Be careful not to load on too many onions as the slices will bend and break after you cut them - I have done this recipe twice and both times I had leftover onions. Even if it falls apart it tastes FANTASTIC!!
