Re:Chicken Soup with Lime and Hominy

For sheer ease and delicious results, I cannot recommend this soup enough. Fabulous. I used a big, fat jalapeno and it wasn't hot at all. I could have left the seeds in. Oh, well. I also sprinkled it with cilantro. Next time I'll also garnish it with some chopped avocado. Muy bien. I am even going to feature it on my website!!

Re:Chocolate Chunk Cookies with Dried Cherries & Pecans

I made these in the dead of summer (it's cool on the coast of California) and they were excellent. Great finger food for a large group. And I used the very best ingredients. Bravo.

Re:Almond Macarons

What is it about those French macarons? Well, it's probably the ingredients. Having said that, my friend, Nancy and I made these and we enjoyed them too. Not as good as the ones in France but okay in my book. The first batch was interesting looking. The second batch was better looking. Takes practice. I like the chocolate much more than the lemon. But, hey, I'm a chocolatholic!!

Re:Cane Vinegar Chicken Stew with Pearl Onions, Oranges, and Spinach

If you love vinegar, you'll love this recipe. It is easy and delicious and I'll make it in the future. Next time I'll try it with cane vinegar. Used cider this time.

Re:Squash Ravioli with Sherried Onion Sauce, Walnuts & Cranberries

I loved this dish. It was a fabulous first course. We made the pasta for the raviolis. It took a lot longer. When we ran out of pasta, to the store we traveled to get some wrappers. They were a snap. No doubt both will be good. Do this for a special occasion. You won't be disappointed.

Re:Double Chocolate Chunk Fudge Brownies

These were fabulous. Almost creamy. Definitely dreamy. The only thing I am going to do differently next time is cut down the sugar a bit. A little to sweet for me. This is a keeper!

Re:Pecan Tartlets

I've been making these for years. Fabulous. And people love that they can choose the filling, pecan, pumpkin or cranberry-pear. And the crust is easy!!

Re:Etta’s New Crab Cakes

These crab cakes and the seafood sauce that was suggested were a big hit at my dinner party. I did not double the recipe and served 6 people handsomely. In fact, the menu that this was part of made way too much food for 6 people. The crab cakes were the hit of the night. Thanks.

Re:Tomato, Feta & Preserved Lemon Salad

This was wonderful. I made preserved lemons and couple of weeks ago and needed a salad for a dinner party last night. Tried this one. Forgot the cumin in the excitement of moment...but it was still very yummy. It's a 5 star!!
